According to ATS Guidelines, the volume accuracy of the spirometer must be checked at least daily. QRS sells a Volume Calibration Syringe (# 723000-00), 3L, which is designed to fit QRS spirometers. Although QRS spirometers cannot be calibrated in the field, the syringe allows you to check your calibration. If your calibration is off, please contact QRS for recalibration of your spirometer. QRS spirometers do not require routine calibration. However if the device is dropped or has sustained physical damage, it will need to be re-calibrated.
