Hello and welcome, Here is a large, color rich, motif rich handwoven woolen kilim rug from the 'Anamur' region in southern Turkey. A place where you can still find a few nomads maintaining their original life style. And of course in those long cold winter nights, the ladies keep on working by their looms. This is one of the few pieces that I have in my collection by Anamur nomads with a lot of age and still in good condition. She is over 80 years old, large in size, still carrying the natural dye colors on the wool in wonderful way. The kilim rug is woolen. There are a few repairs on the kilim which can't be seen. 9.48 x 4.16 ft (289 x 127 cm). The kilim is so rich in motifs literally a parada of nomadic symbols. If you like pastel colors and a lot figures and shapes on a carpet, this carpet may well please you. She is definitely one copy and I doubt anyone everr will be weaving the same kilim ever again. Even if they do, she wont be as old as this nomadic beauty.
