Crinum Lily, Marisco, Large, blooming-size bulb, NEW
DESCRIPTION
- Marisco is a wild collected hybrid closely related to Vera Cruz (which we also sell) and Maximilian.
- It is one of the tallest and most beautiful hybrids of crinum zeylanicum.
- The flowers have dark red stripes on the keel (outside of bud). It appears similar to a baconi type cross (C. zeylanicum x C. americanum or C. erubescens, but instead of americanum, it is a naturally occurring cross with C. loddigesianum).
- Typical of zeylanicum hybrids, the red stripe is darker towards the edge of the flower and fades as it gets near the center where almost all other striped crinum have stripes that fade towards the edge of the flower.
- Flowers are 6 1/2" in diameter, and we have recorded as many as 8 flowers on 48" tall scapes.
