DESCRIPTION
- Scabrum is a species bulb that forms seeds and different clones/variations are commonly found growing in old gardens. We grow about 15 different clones. "Fireworks" is one of our favorite scabrum. The color, shape and bloom count are great, and it offsets quite well for a scabrum.
- We have had a maximum of 10 buds on a 20" scape, which is not quite as tall as some scabrum. We grow over 1000 different crinum, including about 350 of our own hybrids, and every collection should have at least one variety of scabrum.
- These are very good seed producers and have been used in many hybird crosses. Generally scabrum are low growing with leaves about 3" wide that are wavy along the edges, almost ruffled.
