The Door County Santa represents much of the history and current activities of Door County, Wisconsin, the home of the artist, Pipka. There is a lot to see with this Santa: orchards, galleries, Indian culture, artists, fishing and famous buildings. He is the bridge between the history of the past, the beauty of the present and the hope of the future. Door County Santa is a full size (10 to 11 inches) Memories of Christmas finely detailed cold cast resin figurine who is hand painted, gift boxed and released in 1999 with only 3600 produced. This piece in mint condition is difficult to find. Door County Santa is in the original box, with original Styrofoam casing and plastic cover. He has never been displayed -- only out of the box for photos. There is only one available and all proceeds go to protecting the wild horses in north central Washington State near the Canadian border. The artist, Pipka, started releasing these Old World Santas for Prizm, Inc. in 1994 in Door County, Wisconsin, a peninsula on the east coast of Wisconsin that extends out into Lake Michigan.
