Princess Leia wears this dress at the end of Star Wars: A New Hope during the ceremony scene. You can see the orginal dress here . For this dress It is very similar to the original and keeping a bit of that authentic 1970's vibe to the over all fabrics. However, we selected fabrics that were higher quality than the 70's version..but still gave it a pretty drape to the dress. For the main part of the dress I used a poly blend fabric that had a heavier hand to it that would flow over curves nicely. The dress is fully linend in a pretty matte satin. we used a vegan leather in a silver color for the belt. Accented with metal details and chain closure in the back. we really liked how this looks from the back as well. Seemed to be very "Leia" to we.
