The hammer that's included in this is meant to hammer out the rivets inside the handle. This is to allow the handle and the blade to be separated, to complete a full covered cleaning of the blade. We suggest that if you are cleaning a imitation katana, that you do not do this step as the imitation katana is not intended on being taken apart!!;The wiping paper (or cloth) is used to wipe off the old oil from the katana's blade, and can be stored in the box that is provided. The oil cloth box comes empty.;An Uchiko (Dusting Stick) is also included. The bulb of this stick is filled with a fine white powder, and will come out with a slight tap. This is intended to assist with the cleaning off the old oil from the katana. This uchiko stick is used only for real katanas! Please do not use it on an imitation katana!;The katana oil is one of the most important parts of this cleaning kit! This special oil is used to prevent any rusting to occurring on the katana blade. A couple times a year, please use the wiping paper to clean off the old rust, and apply a thin new coat of oil over the blade!!;Within the package is a piece of paper that lists what is included, and how to use this kit without permanently harming your katana! We do ask that you use caution when handling any kind of katana blade, whether it be sharpened or not!
