The Mitutoyo 293 series QuantuMike Coolant Proof LCD micrometer has a digital single-value LCD readout
that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005" (0.001mm) for outside diameter (OD) measurement.
A ratchet thimble mechanism helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurement.
It also has a non-rotating spindle that helps provide steady positioning during measurement,
and a QuantuMike spindle that feeds at a rate of 0.08" (2mm) per revolution for a higher rate of productivity than a conventional mechanism.
It uses the Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE electrostatic capacitance linear encoder to help prevent overspeed errors and help ensure repeatable, precise measurement.
