Introduced in 1944, the Northrop P-61 was nicknamed for the deadly spider, Black Widow.
It was the first US military aircraft designed specifically for night interception, and was also the first specifically designed to use radar.
Diecast replica in 1:144 scale depicts the legendary "Lady In The Dark," flown by Major Lee Kendall in 1945, credited with the final Allied air victory of WWII.
It features engraved panel lines, rotating propellers and authentic markings.
Includes a metal display base and measures 5" x 5.5".
