Here's the story of the poem: I often engage my children in my work. my oldest son, Matthew, is a mechanical engineer but we all recognize his ability to write. He seldom does. Once I bugged him to write a poem for me about a girl who goes fishing with the guys and can keep up with them in every way. The weekend of his visit went by and we never mentioned my request again. He left. The next day I was straightening up my studio and saw what looked like a scrap of paper on the floor. It was the poem. I loved it, and made the watercolor. Goes well with other Lake decor watercolors from this shop. See third picture. All prints are signed on the front border by Barry Singer. © 2015 Barry Singer.
