Hello and welcome. Here is a Ladik carpet. Ladik is a town in the city of Konya famous for its carpets. Konya is midlands Turkey, a landlocked area right in the center of our land and has its own flora. The beauty of this flora is reflected on Ladik carpet as elegant and class color combination. I have included a brief on Konya carpets below in the description. The carpet is made in 1971 as woven on the carpet itself. 5.00' x 3.56' (153 x 109 cm). Wool on wool. Natural dye. In 1292, Marco Polo was the first to make mention of the Konya carpets in writing when he called them the most beautiful in the world. Scholars and collectors alike, primarily for their bold tribal designs and magnificent color combinations not to mention their rarity, covet Konya rugs. Konya rugs are prized for their luxurious wool, which comes from the rural areas surrounding the city. The wool from these regions is known to be some of the richest worldwide We can show only a limited number of visuals here. If you are interested please do not hesitate to ask for more photos or even a video from me. I can happily prepare you a deeper presentation of this vintage nomadic beauty.
