• Apeldoorn Darwin hybrid tulips were created by cross breeding Emperor and Single Late Tulips. Darwin hybrid tulips come in hues of red, yellow, pink, and orange, purple, coral, apricot and variegated colors. They produce very large blooms on strong stems in mid spring. Exposure to full sun will bring out the rich colors that tulips offer, but some shade will enable a longer blooming period and still offer a colorful addition to your yard.

Excellent for naturalizing with sturdy stems, bright colors, and bursting blooms, Darwin Hybrid tulips are an excellent choice for home gardens. Blooms will typically close during the cooler nighttime temperatures and then open with the rising sun and can measure as much as 6 inches in diameter when fully open!
