6.5" Unlimited Kila Singing Bowl
DESCRIPTION
This bowl comes with a pillow and a mallet. The main etching on this singing bowl is that of a KILA. Kila is the Sanskrit word for nail or peg. In this case it is a three-sided nail or sometimes dagger or knife. It is also called a Phurba or Phurwa. The Kila dagger is a Tantric Yoga ritual instrument used to conquer evil spirits and to stay grounded and destroy obstacles. The legendary creator of the kila stuck it into the earth, and thereby nailed the evil spirits and controlled them. Doing this, he consecrated the ground on which a monastery was built. The three sides of the Kila symbolize overcoming three spiritual problems: Desire, Hate, and Lack of Awareness. It also represents gaining seniority over Past, Present and Future. Bowl Measurements: Bowl Diameter: 6.5" / 16.5 cm Bowl Weight: 3 lbs 8 oz / 1.6 kg. Dimensions and weights may vary slightly.
