• These pieces of jewelry were created in Brazil from small geodes found there, with centers full of crystals and surrounded by beautiful agate.
(A geode is a rock that has a cavity in it that is lined with crystals or other minerals.)
• A slice was taken from the geode, electroplated with gold or silver, following the natural edge of the stone, and polished on both sides.
(The amount of gold or silver is in extremely tiny quantities, with other metals, to just give the color.)
• The centers are lined with crystals, some with just a touch of sparkle, others with larger though still small crystal shapes, and surrounded by agate. Some have more agate, some have more crystals.
• These are the smaller pieces, on average, between about 3/4" to 1 1/4" long excluding the bail, and about 5 mm thick.
• Each piece weighs less than an ounce, and can be worn on either side.
