Akamuti does not test on animals and places importance on environmental and wildlife conservation in respect to the origin of raw materials used. For example, only sustainably sourced palm oil is used. The traceable origin of raw materials - argan oil from Morocco, olive oil from Palestine, or shea butter from Ghana - are as important as fair working conditions for the people involved in the production process. Akamuti values high-quality handmade items and therefore supports small businesses.. Local producers are encouraged, resources conserved and living conditions improved for humans as well as animals. All products are: free from preservatives composed of 100% natural raw materials packaged in recyclable materials not tested on animals fair traded and produced

• If you love shea butter, you will love this pure & simple blend of organic shea butter & organic extra virgin olive oil. Olive oil is rich in minerals, proteins & vitamins, especially in Vitamin E which is a potent anti-oxidant. Olive oil also replenishes moisture & nutrients, lost through exposure to the sun. Combined with shea butter, this is a rich emollient which keeps the skin supple & silky smooth. This is a particularly good skin food for sensitive or dry skin.
• The organic olive oil from Akamuti is fairly traded with farming co-operatives in Nablus, Palestine. Ancient olive trees are tended by farming families who have cared for their trees for generations & it is the olive tree which sustains approximately half of the population. Farming in the West Bank is difficult & fraught with hardship, so supporting the production of olive oil provides a valuable outlet for this fragile economy.
• How to use: Apply a small amount with a clean fingertip & smooth over dry skin. This is a very rich butter, so a little goes a long way!
