The "Will Everard" was a 280-ton bark built for F.T. Everard & Sons in Great Yarmouth in 1925 to 1926. The ship is owned today by P & O Containers Ltd.. In 1982, Northern Europe's most beautiful captain, according to the press, took command of the ship - 24-year-old Sue Harrison, who had obtained her Master's Certificate in 1979. This kit features a plank-on-frame construction, laser cut plywood keel and frame components, wooden superstructure and decks, ramin mast and spars, rigging cord in various sizes, and hull/ deck fittings in brass and/or plastic for a museum quality finish. *All of the 600 Series Model Boat Kits (item numbers 600-609) include an easier way of building the hull. The hull is assembled in halves, on a table. This allows for easier assembly and is quite useful in learning plank-on-frame or plank-on-bulkhead construction! Once each half is done you join the two for a completed hull.
