Its camber profile and width make it efficient in powder and in variable snow conditions too, meaning you're free to venture into the slackcountry and side-piste when the conditions permit. Flexing between mid-flex and stiff, they're ideal for advanced riders and above who want a confident and obedient all-mountain ski which tames groomers and powder with ease. Built around a full wood core comprised of Poplar, a high-quality hardwood with great flexibility properties. This makes it a great choice for ski-cores, providing continuous and even flex from tip to tail. This is complemented by a biaxial fibreglass and tip-to-tail titanal plates which enhances the ski's pop and rebound The Orb features a semi-cap sidewall construction which folds the ski's topsheet over the edges where they're fused together with the ski's edge. This reduces the instances of topsheet delamination and unsightly chips, whilst also bolstering the ski against side impacts from trees, rocks and other unseen threats. Additionally, they benefit from overbuilt, tempered steel edges which are thicker than those on regular skis for dramatically increased durability and deflection. The Orb's Nose Rocker provides excellent float in powder while the camber under-foot and through the tail give the ski fantastic edge hold and control on icier slopes. This is topped off with the reliability of medium height traditional camber underfoot, giving the ski a good balance between stability and manoeuvrability.
