External High-Density (HD) Mini-SAS cables

These SFF-8644 cables use 36-pin connectors and run at 12 Gb/s.

SFF-8644 is the external version of SFF-8643. Both are called a "High Density 36-pin Mini-SAS Cable."

It is an External Mini SAS HD 4x SFF-8644 to External SAS 4x infiniband 34pin data server Raid Cable.

The High Density (HD) system referenced as HD Mini-SAS (SFF-8644) in the SAS 2.1 standard, meets the 6Gb/s SAS specification.

These new HD Connectors will be used on the SAS 3.0 specification when it is released. Cable material may change but the connectors will be the next generation of SAS to run at 12Gb/s.
