The Bolero hat has a long and interesting history. It became famous as the hat of Zorro but today it serves as an interesting addition to any outfit for both men and women. Our fur felt bolero is blocked and styled entirely by hand. That's the way they made them when there were really cowboys wearing them and that is exactly the way we make it now. We'll start by sizing and shaping your hat. When cool and dry, we are going to sand it, brush it, trim it and cure it to make sure it has a smooth velvet touch. Then we'll attach a high quality satin lining and hand stitch the sweatband of your choice into the hat. The outside is normally decorated with a matching ribbon and trim but you may have it finished in any color or finish you wish. This shape is distinguished by a 3 3/4" stiff flat brim and a 3 1/2" hand blocked flat top crown.
