Every Sunday afternoon Rupert gets into his floppy felt hat, picks up his artist palette and a fresh canvas, and heads off to paint in plein air. He's pretty good. To create Rupert I adapted and printed an antique postcard image on luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, then cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. Rupert measures 3" x 3&1/2" and is enameled gold on the back and sides. He would make a perfect gift for anyone interested in Dachshunds or an artistic friend.
