Not all dogs appreciate being dressed up in funny hats and Christmas ornaments, but these two Dachshunds are sticking with the program. Perhaps they know that a doggie treat will be coming their way. To make them, I adapted and printed an antique postcard image on heavy luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, then cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. It's exacting work, but very satisfying. The Doxies measure 4"x 3&1/2" and are enameled gold on the back and sides.I The ornament is shipped in a sturdy, attractive gift box.
