Excelsior cutters are manufactured from a combination of materials: a highspeed steel core for the sharpest possible edge and finest finish, and a titanium nitride coating which helps it rival carbide in terms of edge retention. Unlike carbide, however, these turning tool cutters are easily sharpened on standard sharpening equipment. Available in a range of profiles to fit almost any turning application.
