Gray White Orange Jasper Pendant/Necklace on Handmade Chain
DESCRIPTION
This square jasper pendant has a very unusual and beautiful color combination of shades of gray, orange, salmon, and white. I haven't seen another pendant like it. When I asked the dealer I bought it from where it came from, he could not remember. Because of the stone's uniqueness, I wanted to make an interesting chain for it. It was a struggle. I tried to make a chain only of gray beads, of mainly white beads, and then just of carnelians; none worked. Finally, I decided on the chain you see, in which the etched lines on the pewter tubes repeat the lines on the pendant and the small red aventurine beads and tiny pearl beads complement the orange-salmon and white shades. Altogether, I had to string 171 beads to get the look I wanted. Including the pendant, the total length of this one-of-a-kind necklace is approximately 28 inches long. It ends with a half-inch round etched toggle fastener. The square pendant is 1 ¾" X 1 ¾" The pewter tubes are 10 mm. X 3 mm. The red aventurine round beads are 4 mm. The necklace will arrive in an attractive jewelry box. #500
