Normal Temperature Alarm: An alarm will soiund when the peak temperature has registered and is ready-to-read. The "Normal Temperature" alarm (for quick beeps followed by a pause) will sound repeatedly for approximately 5 seconds.
Last-Temperature Memory Recall: Switch the thermometer on, a short beep will sound. At the same time the thermometer runs a self-check test. During which all the digital segments and Red-Orange-Green appear on the LCD. After that the last reading value will appear automatically on the LCD for 2 seconds. The reading is only over-written when a new temperature value is recorded.
For Models with Fever Alarm: If the temperature registers higher than 38.0°C (100.4°F), the fever alarm (a quick beeping sound which occurs continuously for a bout 5 seconds) will sound when the peak temperature has registered. Also, the result will keep on the LCD until the thermometer is turned off.
For Swichable Celsius and Fahrenheit Models: After switching on the thermometer and release the ON/OFF button, the °C or °F can be switched within the first 4 seconds by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button again for 2 seconds. When the button is released, the thermometer will be in "ready-in-measure" mode.
