- Useful, big gourd, avg. 10"-12". Large round bottom section connected by a narrow neck to a smaller round upper section. Harvest when the smooth, greenish rind turns white or starts to brown. Dry for durable bottles, birdhouses, etc.
- SEED SOWING: Soak seeds for 24 hours before planting. Germination temperature 70F-80F. Direct sow outdoors after danger of last frost or start seeds 6 weeks indoors before the last expected spring frost. Plant in hills of 2-3 plants per hill at 60" - 72" apart, and 1" (2.5cm) deep. Germination is 15 to 30+ days depending upon growing conditions.
