Basil Lemon -  (Ocimum citriodorum) also known as Kemangi in Indonisia and Maenglak in Thailand is a Half Hardy Annual. It is a versatile herb usually grown for its strong aromatic lemon scent, that it is traditional in a lot of South-Asian dishes. Lemon basil is native to northeast Africa and southern Asia. It is used as a main ingredient in pepes (marinated steamed meat) and in an Indonesian raw fresh vegatable dish called lalab. It can also be added for seasoning soups and salads, or as a garnish.
