ITC-100HT is a proven ceramic coating for furnace, kiln, and forge refractory linings. ITC has a 30 year plus track record of proven performance as a coating. The proprietary blend of ceramics in the coating absorbs and re-reflects the radiant heat into the hot zone evening out temperature profiles and reducing the energy needed to achieve the target temperature by 5-15%. By reducing the overall temperature of the insulation package and preventing corrosive gasses from reaching refractory materials, the life of ceramic insulation, fire brick, modules, board, and shelves is extended. ITC's 213 metal coating will protect and extend heating element and shell life as well. The product comes in a concentrate. Add 1 part distilled water and 2 parts concentrate and mix well. Only prepare enough for the job. Surfaces must be clean and free of dust. Apply with a brush or a sprayer. 1/8" to 1/16" coatings work best. Thinner is better. Allow to air dry overnight. Fire to 600F using a slow ramp cycle. Cool. You are ready to go. Please note the operation of any enclosed furnaces must be re-programmed to prevent over-firing after coating.
