It is designed as a replacement for thinning or baldness along the center middle-part area of the scalp. The hair is multi-directional and can be parted anywhere on the unit. It can be held in place using the four included clips or the clips can be removed and it can be taped to a completely bald area of the scalp. While this unit is primarily intended as a "middle-part" it can also be used to fill other bald or thinning areas that are rectangular in shape with the help of an experienced stylist. The monofilament is completely sealed on the scalp side for easy taping gluing and increased durability.
