DESCRIPTION
Lactic acid, a type of alpha hydroxy acid, is derived from sour milk and is used for the mildest, most gentle of chemical peels. A lactic acid peel works like a glycolic acid peel, but it is much more gentle on the skin. Glycolic acid is perhaps the best-known of a group of chemicals called fruit acids or alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA). It is derived from sugar cane, so it can be considered a natural product. Citric acid from oranges and other citrus fruits also fall under the same classification as glycolic acid. Step 1: Clean face and neck thoroughly. Step 2: Prepare skin with an alcohol/water solution (50/50 mixture). Step 3: Apply peel to face and neck area. Gently glide cotton ball unto skin, applying more pressure on areas that need added exfoliation. Step 4: Allow acid to sit on skin for 2-3 minutes. Step 5: Rinse thoroughly with warm water. If needed, use neutralizing solution to neutralize acid. This step is only necessary if you feel that the acid is too strong for your skin. Otherwise, rinsing thoroughly with warm water should suffice. Step 6: Apply a good skin hydrating, healing moisturizer unto treated area. We recommend our HA serum for faster healing time and best results. Step 7: Avoid SUNBURN Step 8: Repeat peel once a week.
