Growing up, Christmas meant a Lionel train set circling the Christmas tree. This vintage toy featuring Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse was created in the 1930s. To make this handcar, I printed the original box image on heavy luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, then cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. The handcar measures 3&1/2"x 4" and is enameled gold on the back and sides. It would make a perfect Christmas gift for any child, train or Disney afficianado and would look great on a garland or tree. The handcar is shipped in a sturdy, attractive gift box.
