Variscite is thought to enhance feelings of joy, peace and harmony for those who carry or wear it as jewelry. The stone itself is softer than many and should be treated with care, the dark material on the back of it is called a doublet, this backing is used to make it harder. This particular stone is 1.15 inches long by 1.inches wide ( at widest point) by .25 thick. Your beautiful pendant will come on a silver-plated chain and you will have a choice of length from 16-20 inches. The chain closes with a silver-plated lobster claw.
