• For elegant paths and patios either use as they are and grow plants like thyme or mint between the cracks or sprinkle pea gravel in-between to make a more even path. To achieve more control of weeds and get more stability use edging and add a 0.5 inch base layer of sand underneath the path. The bag consists of 18 stepping stones.
• How to proceed: Start visualizing where the path and/or patio should go and where you want it to end. Then place the edging so it is more or less level with the soil height. Compact the soil within the edging to a depth of about 0.75 inch and carefully wet it. Add 0.5 inch of sand, level and compact it using a piece of wood and again gently wet it with a spray mister.
• Place the stepping stones keeping a uniform gap between them, then fill in with gravel. If only using gravel and no stones you will need 2 bags of pea-gravel.
