DESCRIPTION
For riders earning their turns, the Never Summer Prospector Splitboard is a high-performance touring machine that skins up and rides down the steepest alpine cirques and deepest tree runs with ease. Never Summer didn't pull any punches when it came to loading the Prospector with all of its best technologies. The result is a stiff, unrelenting board that mows over chunder and icy snow when conditions are less-than-ideal, without sacrificing deep-snow performance on epic powder days. Its tapered directional shape effortlessly floats through deep snow, keeping the nose planing through feet of untracked powder. The slightly revised Extended Tour Rocker Camber delivers the ride-anywhere versatility of Never Summer's Original Rocker Camber, but with a subtle flat zones near the tips for better uphill traction. Since the rocker is intact, the board retains incredible float. Camber outside the bindings enhances power when you're driving into and out of turns, as well as punching through choppy snow. Loaded with more dampening than virtually any board in Never Summer's line, the Prospector features RDS 1+ Dampening for riding balls-out on steep terrain without unnerving chatter or excess vibration. The SuperLight Wood core is specifically designed for Never Summer's Carbonium Series, reducing weight for faster uphill performance without sacrificing strength. Carbon Max Laminates maximize energy transfer for instantaneous edge-to-edge response. Other split-friendly features include Sintered P-tex sidewalls on both the inner and outer edges for beefed-up durability, as well as a Durasurf XT 5501 base for effortless glide through deep snow.
