ARTISAN STORY: In Thailand, most Karen live in the mountains and densely forested regions. While Karen hill tribe artisans are mostly known to use silver between 99.5 to 99.9 percent purity, sterling silver or 92.5 percent purity is also used to meet high demand in Western markets. Hand-tooling is a unique trademark of the Karen and have been passed down from generation to generation. Each piece of jewelry is captivating beautiful and has been formed by the hands of skilled Karen craftsmen.
