DESCRIPTION

Donovan Jamal McNabb is a retired American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for thirteen seasons. Before his NFL career, he played football and basketball for Syracuse University. The Philadelphia Eagles selected him with the second overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. He is currently an analyst on NFL Network and Fox Sports. During his tenure with the Eagles, he led the Eagles to four consecutive NFC East division championships (2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004), five NFC Championship Games (2001, 2002, 2003,2004, and 2008), and one Super Bowl (Super Bowl XXXIX, in which the Eagles were defeated by the New England Patriots). Perhaps his most memorable play has become known as "4th and 26", which took place against the Green Bay Packers in the final minutes of a 2003 NFC Divisional playoff game. In 2004, he became the first quarterback in league history to throw for more than 30 touchdowns and fewer than 10 interceptions in a season. He also became the Eagles' all-time leader in career wins, pass attempts, pass completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns. McNabb was the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback from 1999 to 2009 and spent the 2010 season with the Washington Redskins and a portion of the 2011 season with the Minnesota Vikings. McNabb's #5 jersey number was retired in Philadelphia during halftime of a Thursday Night Football game on September 19, 2013.NFL PhotoFile
