Maxillaria tenuifolia is a species native to Mexico and Honduras. It has one and a half inch brick orange flowers that smell like coconut suntan lotion. An easy care orchid, keep it moist & high light like Cattleya. I have placed in Fla coconut where it can remain until there is no more coconut which will take years. Can handle dry period during winter without difficulty. Bloom May - June period.here in Florida grown outdoors and gets soaked with rain storms all summer. Plant you receive will be similar to plant shown in pics, may or may not be in bloom.
