Polyester Stretch Shantung is a sturdy, wrinkle-resistant, medium weight fabric with a unique textured surface and a beautiful sheen. It is often used in eveningwear and bridal/wedding, but can also be used for suits and high end sportswear and home decor. Shantung is similar to Dupioni, but Shantung a lighter weight. Shantung creates a beautiful effect for volume - it lends itself wonderfully to shirring, tucks and pleats.
