When you find out something's made from carbon fiber, you might think "Incredibly strong and light." When something's made from Polartec® NeoShell®, you could think "Waterproof and highly breathable." Great fabric, we thought, for active outerwear. This anorak's got the fancy stuff, like sealed seams, waterproof zippers, a visored/drawcord adjustable hood, hook and loop closures at the wrist. And since it's not always an option to disrobe when you're active, we added pit zips for even more ventilation. Paddlers might appreciate the slightly longer, articulated sleeves and three zippered pockets. Commuters might like the reflectivity. We liked testing the prototype! Ideal for paddle sports, but well suited for any highly active pursuit requiring a waterproof and extremely breathable outerlayer. Machine wash cold, tumble dry medium. Avoid iron, bleach, dry cleaning, and fabric softeners.

• Polartec® NeoShell® has the ability to stop water and wind permeation without restricting the release of excess body heat and moisture vapor. Simply put: it is waterproof and breathable.
• For a fabric to be considered waterproof, it must withstand the industry's hydrostatic head test requirement at 10,000mm of water pressure. And by the way, you're dry at 10,000mm; anything beyond that is unnecessary, as it won't keep you any drier and, if you move, you'll likely be wetter from sweat.
• Polartec® NeoShell® meets this 10,000mm test, and based on their dynamic breathability testing in active conditions, it's 100% more breathable than many waterproof/breathable shells on the market.
• It is also pliable and resilient, allowing durable stretch, in addition to recovery and abrasion resistance. Attached hood and separate tricot lined collar for comfort and warmth. Chest pocket will hold a cell phone and has a media port. Kangaroo front pocket below the well well-proportioned half zip.
