This is a genuine SEYMCHAN METEORITE from the Magadan region of Russia. This meteorite was found in 1967. This specimen has been cut and polished so you can see the internal pattern of the meteorite. "Due the heterogeneous structure of Seymchan, there are two types of specimens: with or without olivine crystals (from Wikipedia)." This particular slab contains olivine crystals. It is especially neat to examine with a light source behind it. This slab weighs 1.5 grams and measures 3/4 inch in length. It comes with a nice glass topped display box.
