Our Silk 4-Ply Woven Crepe in orange is a sturdy, medium weight fabric with a slightly ridged surface and a beautiful sheen. It is usually used for high-end sportswear and home decor, but can also be used for tailored eveningwear and suiting. The "4-Ply" in the fabric's name refers to 4-ply crepe yarns made of 4 very tightly twisted strands of silk filament fibers used in the warp, or filling, direction of the weave. This also contributes to the subtle ridges visible on the fabric's surface. Although this fabric is structurally sturdy and is very well suited to any silk garment that requires a heavier, fuller look, 4-Ply Woven Crepe has the same beautiful and soft drape as its lighter cousins.
