String action/fret height/nut slotting gauge, 0.01 mm resolution, 3 in one MUST HAVE TOOL!
DESCRIPTION
This tool will help you almost perfectly measure the height of a string above the fret or whatever the surface is and the height of a fret as well. This digital gauge is an alternative to the more expensive "analog" nut slotting gauge and also is more precise than a eye-guess-work with regular string action gauges. You can also measure the depth of anything capable. I use one of these all the time at my guitar shop and it works perfect for me, so I decided to make them, so others can enjoy working with them as well. I handmake this tool based on the original Davide Bissoli´s design. I take extra care and every single one is an original :) Proper set-up of your guitar is important for comfortable playing while avoiding string buzz. Base design is very stable and provides view of measurement process. Digital display can be set to decimal or fractional inches and metric (mm). Zero can be reset with the press of a button. Resolution to 0.01 mm. Measuring range is around 10mm (0.4 inches), according to how I make the particular piece :) Instructions: 1. Turn on and place the tool over a fret with display parallel to a neck. Center slider tip on string over fret. 2. Press the zero button to set the tool to zero. 3. Press the slider downward until string makes contact with fret. 4. The displayed value is the distance between the bottom of the string and top of the fret. Whole process is very simple and quick. -To avoid unwanted switching on and battery drainage by movement of the rod, you can remove the rod. Take off the small plastic stop (attached in the top-back of the rod) in order to take out the rod. When you need to use the tool again, just insert to rod back and lock it back with the small plastic stop. Shipping: I send it by priority air shipping. The average time to ship to USA is about 7 to 12 days. The package can be tracked. cheers guys!
