This small wooden replica is a primitive conceptualization of the famous civil war submarine. It makes a great addition for any collector and stands 10" x 3" x 3". The H.L. Hunley took to the depths on the evening of February 17, 1864 and became the first submarine ever to take down an enemy ship in combat. The aftermath is clouded in mystery and some accounts testify that the Hunley Crew completed the attack successfully and even relayed the signal that they were returning to base. That was the last time anybody ever saw them alive and the Hunley remained lost at sea until August 8, 2000.
