This lovely little shrub is known as the bush violet or blue tinnea. Related to the salvias, it has delicate deep purple flowers which dangle from its branches over a long flowering period. Due to its restricted distribution in South Africa, it is considered very rare. This dainty, tropical specimen loves warm, sunny or semi-shaded conditions. It is also a great container plant.
