DESCRIPTION
Attention:The output voltage of the CCFL tester is up to 1500V. In order to prevent electric shock,don't touch any metal part which is connected with the output terminal.
1.Power on ,if the ammeter reading is under 20, the CCFL tester works great.Then power off. Connect the CCFL tester with CCFL lamp interface sockets by extra-sharp probes.Then power on and begin to test.If you want to test CCFL lamp without tube socket,you can connect the CCFL tester with CCFL lamp by crocodile clip.Power on and start to work. (Attention:When the screen is not removed,the LCD screen should work normally,otherwize we don't know whether the lamp is lit.)
2.CCFL lamp working principle:The CCFL lamp working principle is as below: Activated inert gases inde the tube by high voltage and maintain continuous light at low voltage,which is same as energy-saving lamps and fluorescent lamps.
3.How to know the CCFL lamps' problem:We can't know whether there is something wrong with CCFL lamp only by multimeter because there are inert gases inside the lamp tude.But with the help of CCFL tester,we can know the CCFL lamps' problem clearly.How can we know CCFL lamps' problem with the help of CCFL tester?
a.Lamp rupture:If the CCFL lamp reptures,the ammeter reading of CCFL tester is less than 200mA and no change.
b.Lamp ignition:If there is a virtual connection of lamp lead or damage of rubber insulation layer at both ends of the CCFL lamp,the ammeter reading will change continuously.Or when the lamp is lit, the ammeter reading will be same or similar to the normal lamp, but as time goes by, the current will increase gradually and even can be up to 1 A.
