This silver-toned brooch from the Shoe buckle range evokes a delicate English silver shoe buckle design from the 1780s. Shoe buckles were indicators of wealth and taste and were widely worn in the 18th century.

• This piece is inspired from an item in the collections at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and has been designed by Nicholas Humphery-Smith and produced under licence by the V&A. • Base metal: Lead free Pewter silver toned, Swarovski crystals. Hand Cast, hand polished and all crystals are hand selected and mounted.
