This PCV valve is located on top of the valve cover. A PCV valve also know as an oil separator contains a rubber diaphragm that becomes coated with oil. Over time the oil breaks down this diaphragm causing a vacuum leak. You may hear a whistle sound when this goes bad or get codes like: random misfire or fuel trim lean. **This part is compatible with TSI or TFSI engines only. Not compatible with FSI.
