Wood Burner Ash I only sell the ash from mine and my neighbours fire, what we burn personally, so there is only so much available at any one time.
Some ideas of what the ash can be used for (information copied from Google, Wikipedia, permaculture.co.uk the.org.uk)
1 - Dust Baths - Place cold ashes where your birds can get to them, the dust baths will control bugs
2 - Around the Roses - Spread a low ring around individual plants and gardens to deter slugs/snails, the ash dries them out
3 - Mix into your Compost
4 - Lawn Fertiliser
Wood ash contains 10-25% calcium, 1-4% magnesium, 5-15% potassium and 1-3% phosphorus.
5 - Cleaning Agent - mix with water to form a paste and use on the glass in your wood stove or fireplace. The same for rings left on wood furniture from glasses. It's abrasive, so use with care
6 - Great Fertiliser for Tomatoes and other Nightshade Vegetables
7 - Sprinkle on Pathways when it's slippery like ice or oil etc - you don't need to use much
8 - De-icer It's alkaline nature makes ice melt and then if the sun is out, the darkness of the ash creates heat, melting ice faster than regular ice melt
9 - Algae Deterrent. VERY little needed. 1 Tbs per 1000 gallons of water as needed.
10 - Odour Control - Put it in t-shirt material to insert in stored shoes.
11 - Mixed with a little water it will polish silver
12 - Dry Shampoo for pets, sprinkle on and after a few minutes brush off, it also neutralises the doggy smell
