Beautiful Marquetry wood inlay necklace pendant of Chinese Character "Friend". Inlay wood is Redheart and background wood is Holly. Pendant is laminated Holly with Redheart. Necklace is 1.5 mm Brown leather cord with slip knots allowing adjustment from approximately 14" to 20".

While there are many techniques used in marquetry, my personal preference is the double bevel technique. The bevel produced by angling the saw cut creates the precision fit. I utilize the natural color, grain, and peculiarities of various wood to create a broad color pallet. This product also incorporates dye-Infused wood. I use vacuum pressure to ensure complete penetration of the wood veneer.

Finish is 2 coats of hand rubbed Danish oil with 3 coats of hand rubbed polyurethane
