UV Filter

Ultra-Violet (UV) rays, although invisible to the human eye, give a bluish cast in colour photography. This filter effectively eliminates UV light of wavelengths shorter than 370nm. No exposure compensation is necessary using this filter making it ideal as a permanent protective filter. The best use of this filter is for scenes such as mountains, beaches, areas of snow and any other situation where there is a lot of UV light present.
These popular filters are renowned for their ability to minimise reflection at the filter surfaces which reduces flareand ghosting. The result is an average light transmission of over 97%, giving sharp contrast and well balanced color.

CPL Filter

Circular Polarizer filters are used to reduce reflections from non-metallic surfaces (windows, water and so on) and increase density within the sky and/or foliage by absorbing reflected light. They also allow to emphasize details such as clouds and makes pictures crisper, with deeper color tones. Their effect cannot be achieved with a computer software.
