Cosmos Seeds - "Bright Lights" Cosmos "Bright Lights" is a great color mix of deep orange and tangerine flowers in single and double forms. Its stems need searing in boiling water to make the flowers last. If you're looking for a cosmos variety that is both beautiful and unconventional, "Bright Lights" may be for you. An extremely resilient and versatile flower that tends to be very easy to grow from seed. Cosmos flower 14 weeks from sowing, last 10 days in the vase, produce at least two buckets of cut flowers a week from a 1 x 1m patch and do so from late June until November - so that's nearly fifty buckets of flowers in one season from a small patch. They are impossible to beat. Cheery blooms in shades of red, orange and yellow bloom on these hardy plants. Reaching three to four feet when planted in full sun, they'll add lots of color and attract bees and butterflies to your garden. Will re-seed if not dead-headed. Sunset tones of golden-yellow, burnt-orange and fiery-red petals are set in multitudes on bushy plants. Double flowers are 2.5" wide with a very full look; excellent for an eye catching border, in pots or bouquets. Plants reach 3-4' tall. Cosmos require little fertility or care, making them great for beginner gardeners.
